Senior Personal Assistant
Charley joined Finance Shop in January 2016 after deciding on a career in the finance industry. She has worked her way up to a Personal Assistant and now works part time within the consultants team and is enjoying widening her skills and knowledge in the industry.
In her spare time she enjoys nights out with friends and spends most of her time with her family.
Independent Financial Adviser
Chris joined Finance Shop in 2010 after advising clients face to face for a widely recognised insurance firm since 2006.
Gaining the DipPFS diploma and transitioning to an Independent Financial Adviser with Finance Shop has given Chris the ability to offer a greater service to clients both old and new, who also often refer their friends, colleagues and family members to him.
Chris likes to pride himself on going through the finer details and putting together a practical plan for clients that is well researched and thought out.
Accounts Manager
Donna joined Finance Shop in September 2010 after several years working as a personal clerk for a large retailer. Donna’s role was originally Accounts Assistant, however she has since progressed to Accounts Manager and has completed a Diploma in Accountancy. Donna manages the Accounts and Commissions team, and deals with the day to day accounts tasks for the company.
Associate Director
After completing A-Levels in 1988, Mark joined a high street bank, where he progressed to become an adviser working in the areas of pensions, protection and investments. In May 2005 he decided to broaden his horizons and joined Finance Shop as an Independent Financial Adviser. Having gained his Financial Diploma in 2012, and with 25+ years experience in financial services, Mark offers down to earth friendly advice to all types of clients in all aspects of financial planning.
Team Manager
Poppy embarked on her journey with Finance Shop in July 2015 as an Apprentice Administration Assistant, transitioning from the Healthcare Industry to explore a new career path. Initially joining as an Apprentice Administration Assistant, Poppy quickly demonstrated her skills and was promoted to Trainee Personal Assistant, working within Nick Buchan's team. After successfully completing her training and excelling as a Personal Assistant, Poppy’s dedication and hard work led to her promotion as a Team Manager. She now proudly leads her own team, driving success and fostering a collaborative environment.
Outside of work, Poppy enjoys spending quality time with her family, listening to podcasts and practising Pilates, keeping a balanced and grounded life.
Practice Manager
Samantha joined Finance Shop in July 2010 following an extensive career in banking working successfully in business risk and the retail sector, where she gained a wide range of experience and knowledge. As the Practice Manager she is responsible for the preparation and management of the Accounting and Reporting function of the firm.
Administrator
Samantha previously worked for a high street bank, and after taking time out to have a family she joined Finance Shop in December 2008, initially as a part time Customer Service Assistant for a building society agency we held at the time. When this closed and we took on an agency for the Ipswich Building Society, Sam continued to work on this side of the business.
More recently Samantha has been working in our Accounts department and on the administration side of the firm.
In her spare time she enjoys watching a variety of shows and socialising with family and friends.
Senior Personal Assistant
Vic started working for Finance Shop in December 2005 as a full time Administration Assistant. Just over a year after joining the company Vic was promoted to a Personal Assistant. Vic continued in this role until she left to have a baby girl in May 2016. After a years maternity leave, Vic returned to work within the Consultants Team and has since become a senior member of the team with her many years of experience.
Outside of work Vic enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters on family adventures. Along with holidays and trips away with close friends and family.
Accounts Assistant
Jess joined Finance Shop in June 2018 as an Accounts Assistant. After working in a high street bank for 7 years she decided to pursue a career in accounts. Jess is looking forward to gaining more knowledge and hopefully working towards an AAT qualification in the future.
Outside of work Jess spends her time with her children and enjoys days out together.
Senior Personal Assistant
After several years in the Health and Social sector, Ashlea joined Finance Shop in 2018, eager to continue developing her knowledge and skills in the financial services industry. With a long-standing interest in finance, this role has provided Ashlea with the perfect opportunity to advance her career in her chosen field.
In her spare time, Ashlea enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and exploring new types of food.
Personal Assistant
Bailey joined Finance Shop in May 2021 as an Apprentice Administration Assistant and has since advanced to the role of Personal Assistant. She is enthusiastic about building a career in the financial services industry and is committed to expanding her knowledge and skills in this field.
In her spare time, Bailey enjoys immersing herself in a good book, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with her family.
Associate Director
Nick has been engaging directly with clients in the financial services sector since 2002. Throughout his career, he has held various positions at a high street bank and has been a fully qualified Financial Adviser since 2010.
In 2013, Nick joined Finance Shop as an Independent Financial Adviser. His primary objective is to cultivate long-term relationships with both new and existing clients, assisting them in achieving their financial goals and aspirations.
Outside of his professional life, Nick enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
Senior Personal Assistant
Jo started working for Finance Shop in October 2003 as a full time Administration Assistant in the Gorleston office and was promoted to a Personal Assistant shortly after. Jo now works part time as a Senior Personal Assistant to our Consultant’s Team in our Great Yarmouth Office.
Outside of work Jo enjoys spending time with her family - especially family holidays, bounce trampoline classes and visiting her favourite restaurants.
Administration Assistant
Mia joined Finance Shop in June 2023 and currently serves as an Administration Assistant, having transitioned from a role in customer services. In her current position, she is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including managing the LOA process, handling correspondence, and supporting the team with day-to-day administration responsibilities. Mia is eager to broaden and deepen her expertise in financial services, and she actively seeks opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
Outside of work, Mia enjoys traveling abroad, listening to music, and spending quality time with her family.
Administrator
Lorraine joined Finance Shop in April 2024 having worked in the financial services industry for over 36 years. She worked as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser for a high street bank for many years , as well as more recently a Mortgage Broker. After reducing to part time hours she was keen to take her career in a different direction whilst staying in financial services.
In her spare time, Lorraine likes to swim, walk her 2 dogs twice a day and enjoys holidays in the UK and abroad.
